Moving in together? Combine your insurance the right way.
When two households become one, your home and auto policies need to catch up. Your insurer should know about new drivers and household members, and combining policies may open up bundle and multi-vehicle discounts. Frank reviews both sets of policies at once.

Why update your insurance when you move in
Your insurer needs to know
A move and new drivers in the household are changes your insurer must be told about. Leaving them out can put a claim at risk.
Two policies may become one
If you each have tenant or home insurance, you may be able to combine them into one policy for your new home, with both of you named.
Possible discounts
Insuring two cars with the same insurer, or bundling home and auto, may qualify for discounts, depending on the insurer.

Common questions
Do we have to be married to share a policy?
Usually not. Insurers generally let partners share a policy when both are named on it. Frank confirms each insurer’s rules.
What happens to the policy we don’t need?
It can be cancelled, usually with a refund of unused premium, subject to the insurer’s terms. Frank helps you time it so there’s no gap.
Will our auto premium go up?
It depends on each driver’s record and the cars. A multi-vehicle discount may help offset changes.
We’re also buying a home.
Congratulations. Frank can set up your home insurance for closing and review your cars at the same time.
